General comments
Indien een aangetoonde Salmonella typhi bewezen ciprofloxacine gevoelig is, kan hiermee worden uitbehandeld.
Salmonella spp. non-typhi, Campylobacter, E. coli: geen behandeling, tenzij ernstige infectie of immuungecompromitteerd. Dan in principe behandeling op geleide van gevoeligheid.
Indien antibiotische behandeling gestart wordt, dan dient deze te worden aangepast op geleide van de feceskweken en gevoeligheid voor antibiotica.
